In addition to the helmet, shoulder protection is one of the most important pieces of equipment in ice hockey. It protects the shoulder, chest and back from injuries in hockey. A shoulder protector should therefore cover these areas to provide optimal security for the player. If the shoulder protection is too short, injuries can occur in the back or rib area.
